Brings Back Memories

The Old man and Me

This book is fascinating! It so reminds me of growing up in rural and semi-rural areas where there were many fascinating things to explore. It also brings to mind stories related to me by my father who was raised during the Depression in a small Midwest town. Mr. Larlham's insights and reactions to life events while growing up are delightful. Makes me think that as I move into retirement that chronicling my own childhood memories for my family and grandchildren would be in labor of love. Well done.

With respect to his writing, I find Mr. Larlham's writing style refreshing. He easily spins life experiences and tales with equal charm. This book tells true stories of we early "baby boomers" growing up in post World War II America as children of Tom Brokaw's "Finest Generation." I hope the author has even more snippets of growing up in middle America. Thank you, Mr. Larlham for those memories.
